Q: How long will it
take to get my first issue when I order a subscription or order
other merchandise?
A: All orders are filled as quickly as possible on a first come
first served basis. Orders can take 4-8 weeks not including weekend
and holidays. If we are in between issues it will take longer since
all new mail order sub requests start with the next issue. International
orders take a little longer for obvious reasons. Read our Terms
of Sale for more info. |
Q: When is the next
issue coming out? or How many
issues is a 1-year subscription?
A: GARAGE is a quarterly magazine and comes out approximately 4
times a year. |
Q: I never got issue
X, what's going on? or I never got my issue, did you forget
about me?
A: No we have not forgotten about you. There are a few reasons
why you may not have received an issue.
1) You moved and forgot to send us your new address in writing
before the missing issue was mailed out.
2) Your subscription ran out and you forgot to renew.
3) Your issue got lost in the mail, in which case all we can do
is notify your main post office and have them watch all future
issues sent to your address, we can not replace lost issues. You
can also visit the USPS online to file a lost mail report by clicking
here. If you miss an issue please notify us immediately (within
30 days of posted release date) so that we can look into your order
and notify your local post office of the problem. Again we can
not replace lost issues. |
Q: Why won’t
you return my call or email?
A: With the amount of emails and voicemail we receive it’s
not always possible to call everyone back, especially if you are
in a different time zone. The best way to get an answer is read
through all the FAQs and Terms of Sale before
emailing as your question may be listed and already answered. If
the answer is there, you may not receive a personal follow-up.
Due to our SPAM filter settings emails with blank subject lines,
“Hi”, “Hello”, “Urgent response needed”
or anything else that is generic, vague or commonly used to spread
viruses are automatically deleted and we never see them. Please
state your question clearly in the subject line. If you are a current
subscriber please try and include your subscription number so that
we can easily look up your info. We do our best to get back to
every email we receive so please be patient. Emailing us daily
or every other day will NOT get you a quicker response and will
cause your email address to be flagged as SPAM. |
Q: I placed an order for merchandise, but have not received it, what’s going on? A: You can track your order at http://www.shopwestcoastchoppers.com/customer_care.asp or via phone at (888) 777-7314 |
Q: Do you ship outside
the U.S.? How much does it cost?
A: We ship all over the world. All customs and duty fees are the
responsibility of the recipient. International shipping starts
at $9.00USD, Canadian shipping starts at $7.00.
|
Q: I
place and order and now changed my mind can I request a refund?
A: Returns are easy and convenient. You may return your purchase within 30 days of purchase for a refund or replacement. Just fill out the return section on your order's packing slip and send it back to us in new condition! You will receive your credit within 7-10 business days. Sorry shipping charges are not refundable. |
Q: You charged my card
and renewed my subscription without my permission! I want a
refund. A: Unfortunately this is a PayPal issue. All subscription orders via PayPal are auto renewal and it states that on the order confirmation page before you finalize your order.
This message appears when ever a subscription is ordered
to inform the buyer.
"Subscription Details: Your subscription will automatically
renew at the rates stated above unless you cancel prior to the
end of the billing period."
By continuing with the order process you agree to these terms.
Once you pay for your subscription you received an email from paypal
confirming the terms with this note restating the auto renewal
terms.
"Subscription Terms: $20.00 USD for each year
Your subscription will automatically renew at the rates stated
above unless you cancel prior to the end of the billing period.
If you have any questions or concerns about this subscription,
please contact GARAGE magazine."
By continuing with your order placement you agree to
the terms and therefore will not be refunded. |

Q: How do I get my
band featured in GARAGE?
A: Well, the only requirement to be featured in the Music section
of GARAGE is to make music that is great to drive by. If you can
honestly say that your fans can think of no other CD to throw into
the deck while driving the heap, send a copy to us along with pics
and a brief history of your band. |

|
Q: Where can I find
GARAGE in my area?
A: Try Barnes and Noble, Borders, Walmart, or local independent
shops. If you want to see us at your local book store then please
make a request with the manager that they start to carry us in
their store. You may not realize it, but all it takes is a few
requests for them to place an order with their distributor. |
Q: What are your Advertising
rates?
A: Email advertising@garagemagazine.com to
request a media kit. |

|
Q: I recently changed
my address, how do I let you know so that I don’t miss
an issue?
A: If you move or change your mailing address we must receive a
change of address in writing, via regular postal mail only, emails
will no longer be accepted. You must include the effective date
of your move and note that if you moved right after the issue has
shipped then it will go to your old address so be sure to have
your mail forwarded. ONLY written notification will be accepted.
Please note that if the Postal Service alerts us that your magazine
is undeliverable, we have no further obligation. We are not responsible
for lost or missed issues due to non-communication of an address
change. If you miss an issue due to an address change we will be
notified by the USPS and will notify you in writing of your options
(ONLY if the post office provides us with a forwarding address).
If you move be sure to have your mail forwarded otherwise you may
miss an issue if your move date is on or around the drop-ship date
for new issues. We cannot be held responsible if you do not forward
your mail. Our issues do sell out quickly and we cannot guarantee
that a missed issue will still be available once you notify us
that you did not receive one. Remember that we are a quarterly
magazine and new issues are released approximately every 3-4 months.
If you miss an issue please notify us immediately (within 30 days)
so that we can look into your order. |
Q: How does the postal
service notify you that my magazine was undeliverable due to
an address change?
A: The USPS tears off the cover of the magazine that includes your
mailing info and mails it back to us with a postage due notice.
Yes they charge us to do this. This is why we can not replace missed
issues free of charge. The original magazine has been destroyed
by the post office which depletes the inventory allotted for subscribers.
This is why it is extremely important that you notify us immediately
if you change your address. |
Q: Can I notify the
post office and ask them to forward my magazines?
A: We can't guarantee anything, but if you go to the USPS site
it says that you can. Click
here and here for
more info. |
| |
|
Q: Can I use images I see here
on the website for my own use?
A: Always ask permission first and we'll work with you. Please
direct all questions regarding image use to info@garagemagazine.com.
All images are copyrighted and we work hard to protect the rights
of our contributors as well as those of the magazine. |
Q: I'd like to see your magazine
before I decide to subscribe. Can I get a sample copy?
A: Unfortunately at this time we are unable to offer complimentary
sample copies. You can always order a single issue on line by clicking
here or check out your local Magazine stand or Wal-Mart. |
Q: How can I get the Premier
issue or any of the other sold out issues? I know you have a
stash somewhere, why can't you send me just one?
A: When we announce that a particular issue is sold out, it truly
is SOLD OUT. We are not hiding them away somewhere just to torture
you. We only keep 10 copies of each issue for ourselves and these
are kept in a safe deposit box to hopefully put our kids through
college one day. |
Q: Will you ever reprint
the Premier issue?
A: At this point we no plans to reprint the Premier issue, but
we've had enough requests that we're presently taking it into consideration. |
Q: Why don't you cover car
shows in GARAGE?
A: OK, we get this question a lot. Car shows, as great as they
are, are difficult to shoot in any other way than most magazines
already do it poorly lit cars on a lawn or parking lot. And the
shows are great if you're a spectator, but it's really no way to
do a magazine shoot. So, we won't cover a show until we find a
way to shoot it and make it worthy of your attention. |
Q: Why don't I ever see tech
articles in GARAGE?
A: Tech articles are an important part of car magazines. And most
of those magazines do an excellent job with comprehensive tech
pieces. Occasionally, we'll cover innovations and products, but
you won't see a 'how-to' piece. |
